Although i had what i thought to be a fantastic looking magazine advert it was brought to my attention on the final deadline day for ancillary tasks that the magazine had too much about it and was almost mis-leading. This was because the poloroid pictures added too much and would just confuse readers. But before going about chnaging the design i consulted a range of media students that fitted our target and another media teacher and found that in actual fact it didn't carry on from the CD case which was the main vocal point of my Ancillary. To do this i would need to either employ the same kind of colour scheme of using White as a main colour with black undertones or contrast the CD in a way that would make the two look highly similar but still have their own flare. I chose the latter so i could avoid making the magazine insert look boring and to be much more creative.
I started with a blank canvas of black and started to piece together the same layout as before but with only the best bits of my previous magazine and still sticking to the rule of 3. In the end i had pieced together the final layout but it still needed a bit of flare to it so I cut out the leaf shapes and placed the leaf background behind it from my previous magazine draft and cut out the shape again to give a layered effect.
