Background image research

Digipacks generally have either a main background image which is soft and out of focus if there is information over the top or they have a colour either gradiented or block. The pictures normally used represent the band in some way or are of the band e.g. The Wombats EP


The majority of digipacks contain just a block coloured background which is present throughout the digipack to add a sense of continuity e.g. Damian Rice's album O


I like both of these ideas so for my final digipack i will use a block background colour to represent the band then re-enforce that with an image that represents the band e.g. autumn leaves.
