For the CD case i planned 3 ideas and made 4 designs for each and some bits of research into each area. And after looking into each one i decided making a product design inspired CD with the use of embossing would be the best choice.
This is because most markets buy the same CD cases where the only difference is in fonts, colours and photography so their expectations of a CD case are always the same. But by making a CD case that has a different feel and doesn't use plastic this will break the usual appearance and should greatly interest all music buyers especially our market.
