After receiving feedback from our draft, one evaluation point that stood out was how we were going to stop the stop motion's background from flashing, which would then give the video a stronger flow and enable us to reach our target of a Level 4.
We've decided after consulting with our teacher, that using Photoshop to try and eliminate this would be the best option. In theory we would be able to take a still of the background of which we want our characters to be moving in front of, whilst the actual characters' still are taken on a white background. This will allow us to easily crop the characters from their white background and then to apply the location background. However, before we go straight ahead with the idea, I've decided to test this option, just as a safety net, that will highlight any pros and cons.
Here is a quick demo of what the characters will look like if they were to be Photoshopped into the background. As you can see there is no longer any flashing in the background, which allows the video to look and flow better, however the light on the character does flash a little. Unfortunately, this was still really hard to avoid, though hopefully using controlled lighting on the day of filming will help to improve this. Overall using Photoshop, even though the process takes a great amount of time, the outcome has defiantly lead us to the decision to use Photoshop on our final music video.
