Idea

We have had the idea that instead of including stop motion all the way through we should just include it mainly at the beginning and the end. This eliminates the problem of having to make the characters walk and look realistic while walking. We have decided to have the artist place the characters in the scenario, take a picture and walk away. We will then continue to switch between these characters and the busking band and move the characters to different scenes and convey emotions without them moving (muchlike the ikea advert). Although we will still include some stop motion of the characters doing little things e.g. turning their head.

We will then include stop motion in the final scene that they're in and have them turning their heads/body to face each other to show the audience that they have been searching for each other and have finally found each other. We have also decided to include this at the beginning to give the audience an idea that the two characters are alive (without the artist knowing) without having to change their expression (this cannot be done with playmobil)

We think that this will be simple yet effective because when we were doing our tests we found that it was very time consuming to create little amounts of stop motion.
