These are stop motion tests that we conducted to get a feel of how to record stop motion and edit the footage so that it looks effective and continuity flows well. These tests have allowed us to gain an understanding about how the process works and how time consuming it can be. All videos were shot during an 2 hour period and edited within an additional hour. Timing the process will give us an idea about how long the process will take when we come to film our first draft. However, due to our editing software not arriving as of yet, for this testing we had to use Windows Movie Maker, which only enabled us to use very basic editing effects. When we use the actual software the time duration between each image will be much shorter and sped up, so that the video flows much quicker and looks more effective.

Excellent stuff Hannah et al. It's worth blogging about the skills you've acquired from doing this. Look at the lighting in the video, notice how it alters even in a relatively stable environment. How can this be overcome?
